If you currently are in the U.S. in Temporary Protected Status (TPS), you may be concerned whether the Trump administration will cancel TPS for your country. BDV and its partner law firms are closely monitoring this situation.
To check what the current status of TPS is for your country, please see USCIS's website on TPS.
If the Department of Homeland Security has announced plans to end TPS status for your country, we recommend that you closely follow the news. For example, lawsuits have already been filed to block the termination of TPS for Venezuela.
If TPS has officially been terminated for your country and you need to leave the U.S., you may need to switch to Consular processing to continue the EB-3 process from outside the U.S.
If your TPS status has been terminated and you have no other status, please reach out to our team so that the attorneys can advise on your specific options.
We understand that the uncertainty around the TPS program is stressful. We will continue to provide updates as the immigration landscape evolves. As always, we are also happy to answer your questions through BDV Chat. We are here for you.
