Position Overview
TPG is seeking a Program Manager who will be an integral member of our close-knit team. You will have the opportunity to support TPG teachers in various South Carolina (Columbia) districts. This position is remote but does require the use of a vehicle to visit school sites.
Duties & Responsibilities
- You will serve as a critical team member on the ground in the United States, coordinating with our team members domestically and internationally.
- There will be some domestic travel required to school districts within a three-hour drive from your location. Trips will be planned beforehand, but comfortable driving and flexibility with travel are essential.
- You will serve as a primary coordinator between principals in the United States, our team, and the teachers. To keep the process moving, you will need to be quick with phone and email, thorough, and organized.
- You will be working with teachers from all over the world. You must be comfortable speaking to people from many different backgrounds, engaging with them, and getting to know them as you guide them through this process. Patience and kindness are the most important characteristics you can possess.
- You will act as a resource for teachers, answering questions and helping support them throughout arriving in the United States, finding housing, and settling into school. You will act as a guide and sound board for these teachers. You will need to build strong relationships with them by listening and caring.
- You will assist teachers with developing classroom management plans and strategies appropriate to the individual school and broader district discipline progression plan.
- This position will be busiest in the summer months as we prepare for the teachers’ arrival and then support their transition in July, August, and September for the academic year.
- You will be spending significant time using online tools such as Gmail, Google Drive, Asana, Microsoft Office Suite, MailChimp, Adobe e-sign, and others.
- Informally observe (non-evaluative) lessons and provide cognitive coaching/feedback to support teachers' professional growth and students' success.
- Assist teachers with lesson planning and pacing, developing differentiated lessons, selecting best practices, and using high-yield strategies to meet students' needs.
- Support teachers in developing classroom management plans and strategies appropriate to the individual school and broader district discipline progression plan.
- Model the design and implementation of lessons in classrooms.
- Teach, model, and facilitate research-based best practices aligned to standards that engage students and improve outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with TPG teachers and administrators.
- Provide direction and coordination for how the curriculum is taught consistent with district initiatives.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities related to instruction and classroom management in all content areas as assigned by the supervisor.
